Spotlight on a Scholar: Savitri Restrepo on Fostering Relationships Between China and Latin America

With the year now underway, we are excited to share insights from the Scholars in their own words.

Savitri Restrepo Alvarez recently graduated from Wellesley College, majoring in International Relations-Political Science and minoring in Chinese, and is an Albright Scholar. Savitri is the founder of the Daydream Foundation in California, served as president of the Wellesley International Relations Council and recently interned at the Clinton Foundation. Her primary interest is women's empowerment in China, South East Asia and Latin America. After earning her Master degree in Public Policy, Savitri hopes to enter international public service in the field of human rights law and work on issues of gender justice. Savitri is 23 years old, is from Colombia and spent her last years of high school in Hong Kong.
