Student Life Positions

Full-Time Faculty Positions

Schwarzman College is recruiting for three open rank full-time faculty positions in the core areas of our curriculum: Global Affairs, Leadership, and Modern Chinese Political Economy. These are joint appointments with the relevant school or department at Tsinghua University, with primary teaching responsibility at Schwarzman College, and are tenured or tenure-track. Position opportunities may range from the assistant to full professor level.

Short-Term Visiting Faculty Named Chairs

Each year, we recruit for up to seven visiting faculty named chair positions. These positions require a minimum stay of six months in residence at Schwarzman College, and each Chair would teach 1-2 courses at the College during their time in residence. These positions are intended for individuals at the associate or full professor level, though distinguished practitioners with relevant expertise will also be considered.

We recruit for some or all of the following visiting named chair positions annually, with the recruitment cycle occurring in the fall for the following academic year. Links will be updated each fall for the open chair positions.

Postdoctoral Teaching Fellows

Schwarzman College annually recruits for postdoctoral teaching fellows, whose tasks include teaching support, academic support, and student advising. Postdoctoral teaching fellows are primarily responsible for leading discussion and break-out sessions for our cohort-wide core courses, “Global Affairs” and “40 Years of China’s Political, Economic, and Social Reform.” Candidates must have received their doctoral degree by the spring prior to the fall semester in order to apply for the postdoctoral teaching fellow position. Candidates should send their application materials to facultyjobs@schwarzmanscholars.org.
