Spotlight on a Scholar: Amy Kramer (2019)

Amy Kramer is a Robertson Scholar at Duke University studying Public Policy and Political Science. She is an Army ROTC Cadet and wrote her senior honors thesis on the impact of female leadership in ROTC programs nationally. She recently worked with U.S. Army Cadet Command at Fort Knox and helped develop a new national Cadet Command diversity strategy. On campus, she is a member of the Duke Program in American Grand Strategy and plays bassoon in the Duke orchestra. Amy is passionate about studying the strategic security benefits of mainstreaming gender perspectives in military operations and hopes to pursue a career in defense consulting and national security policy. Amy is 21 years old and from the United States.
