Environmental Governance Globally and in China

This course will focus on the three main areas of global environmental governance: (1) social, economic, and political causes of global environmental problems, (2) methods and strategies for promoting policy solutions, and (3) economic rationale for international environmental cooperation. The students are expected to synthesize and apply knowledge of economics, public policy, and political science to critically analyze current global environmental policy issues and international environmental conflict case studies. The students are also expected to engage in self-directed research and learning on international environmental policy.
