Ma Xing (Musa) graduated from Renmin University of China with a Bachelors degree in Journalism. He grew up in Xinjiang, and studied/worked in Europe, the United States and Middle East. While at university, he supervised volunteers for the Youth Ambassador Program for Minorities and organized more than ten cultural inheritance summer camps in Western China, and co-founded a social startup aiming to preserve the heritage and traditions of Chinese minority groups. Musa has been recognized as a United States-China Dialogue Young Scholar of Asia Society and a Young Change Maker by British Council. Through Schwarzman Scholars Program, Musa expects to cultivate his leadership potential in cultural undertaking. Ma Xing is 23 years old and from China.
