Riley Shearer will graduate from Montana State University in May 2017 with Bachelor of Science degrees in economics, chemical engineering, and biochemistry. He began college interested in biomedical engineering to improve health. After helping to develop a novel MRI contrast agent, he realized that through health economics research he could have a greater impact by addressing health inequalities around the world. As a Schwarzman Scholar he is excited to engage with fellow students and communities in China. Eventually he would like to work in international health policy. Riley is 23 years old and from the United States.
