Paula Martinez Gutierrez graduated magna cum laude from Brown University in May 2017, majoring in International Relations (Honors), and History. During her undergraduate studies, Paula was a Latin American Undergraduate Fellow, worked both as a columnist for the Brown Political Review and as a research assistant at the Watson Institute, and interned at the Washington Office on Latin America (WOLA). Paula’s primary interest is drug policy in China and Latin America. After earning her Masters degree in Public Policy, Paula hopes to enter the international public service, and promote alternative drug policies at an international level. Paula is 23 years old, spent her last years of high school in Hong Kong, and is originally from Mexico.
