Emery Ted Real Bird is currently a Senior at Princeton University in the politics department, and is also pursuing a certificate in East Asian studies. He is half N'dee (Apache) and half Apsáalooke (Crow) from Arizona and Montana, respectively. As a child of two nations, Emery maintains a strong identification with his heritage. He is the President and Founder of Natives at Princeton--the only undergraduate American Indian organization focused on fostering dialogue and action on Native and Indigenous issues at Princeton. He hopes to help study and craft American Indian and ethnic minority public policy and governance capacity building around financial capacity, economic development, and water resource stewardship while respecting cultural boundaries. Emery is 22 years old and from the United States.
