Axel Larsson is a student of Politics and International Relations at the University of Cambridge. He has a passion for human rights and has worked with the UNHCR and interned with the Human Rights Defense Center. Recently, he wrote a prize-winning essay on whether economic sanctions are an effective way to make states comply with international human rights law. Axel is also involved in the newly created Swedish political party, the Initiative. Upon completion of the program, Axel aims to use his increased understanding of China in the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs. Axel is 23 years old and from Sweden.
