Ashlie is a University of Kansas Economics and International Studies graduate with a minor in Environmental Studies. Prior to and throughout her undergraduate career, Ashlie served as a staff sergeant and intelligence analyst in the Kansas Air National Guard. A Truman, Udall, Boren, and Gilman scholar, she studied abroad three times, including a year studying Russian and economics in the Kyrgyz Republic. Ashlie is passionate about the intersection of climate change and international trade and finance, fueling her aspirations to be an environmental economist. She currently works as an Economist at the Bureau of Labor and Statistics. Ashlie is 26 years old and is from the United States.
