Alice Dawkins has completed honours theses in Asian Studies and Law. At university, she founded two online journals aimed at connecting emerging scholars, and bridging knowledge communities across the Asia-Pacific. She has been an elected student representative at both the campus and national level. She's taken advanced Chinese courses at Peking University, and conducted interview research in Burmese. She has volunteered at the UNHCR in Malaysia, and wrote a prize-winning thesis reconsidering the historical record of Sino-Burma postwar migration. She enjoys Burmese boxing, and has previously been an internationally-ranked equestrian competitor, and performed as a junior piano student at her state's Conservatorium. Alice is 23 years old and from Australia.
