One of the founding immersive pillars of Schwarzman Scholars is pairing students with leaders across sectors for valuable one-on-one mentorship on leadership styles, while learning more about China and its role in the world.
More than 100 prominent industry figures – from business, non-profits, international organizations, and the public sector – have become mentors to the Fifth Cohort of Schwarzman Scholars. Mentors this year include:
- Dennis Chang, Division President of MasterCard
- Feng An, CEO of the Innovation Centre for Energy and Transportation and the US-China Cleantech Center
- Duncan Clark, Chairman and Founder of BDA China
- Benny Liu, Senior Advisor, KPMG China
Schwarzman College hosted two virtual kick-off events last month to welcome this year’s mentors, during which Founding Trustee Steve Schwarzman, Executive Director Amy Stursberg, Executive Dean and Professor David Pan, and Director of Career Development Julia Zupko each expressed their gratitude for the support of this program, as well as the importance of mentor relationships to Scholars, that span well beyond the academic year.
