Eleanor Freund earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science, with highest honors, from the University of California, Berkeley in 2013. She studied Chinese at the Inter-University Program for Chinese Language Studies at Tsinghua University in Beijing and was a Junior Fellow in China Studies at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace in Washington, D.C. Since 2015 she has been a research assistant at Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs, working on United States foreign policy and security issues, particularly United States-China relations. In 2015, China Hands magazine named her one of “25 Under 25: Rising Stars in U.S.-China Relations.” Eleanor is 25 years old and from the United States.
