Alex Parra is a recent graduate majoring in Chemical Engineering from the United States Military Academy. He was president of Tau Beta Pi, an honor engineering society, where he led tutoring and STEM-outreach events for younger students. Alex also conducted independent research and spent time at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, and Los Alamos National Laboratory. He is interested in reforming high school education, particularly within the realm of science and engineering. He hopes to study Education Public Policy and generate a dialogue between China and the United States to produce more informed, better-taught high school students and future leaders. Alex is 22 years old and from the United States of America.
