Curriculum That Meets the Moment

Our dynamic curriculum, refined each year by leading academics, equips Scholars with the knowledge they need to navigate today’s evolving global landscape and to understand China's role in it, through both coursework and immersive field trips. Admissions Overview

Schwarzman Scholars are selected from an international pool of highly competitive candidates. In addition to demonstrated academic excellence, outstanding leadership qualities and skills in their fields, applicants:

Applicants who are currently enrolled in undergraduate degree programs must be on track to successfully complete all degree requirements before August 1 of their Schwarzman Scholars enrollment year. There are no requirements for a specific field of undergraduate study. All fields are welcome to apply.

Candidates must be at least 18 but not yet 29 years of age as of August 1 of their Schwarzman Scholars enrollment year (for the Class of 2024-2025, as of August 1, 2024).

Applicants must demonstrate strong English skills, as all teaching is conducted in English. If the applicant’s native language is not English, they must have studied in English at an undergraduate or graduate program for at least two years.
