Spotlight on a Scholar: Ben Dowdle (2018)

Ben graduated with Bachelor's degrees in Commerce and Arts at the University of Auckland in New Zealand. Ben is a social and environmental entrepreneur, founding and leading a campaign for the mandatory labeling of palm oil across Australia and New Zealand called 'Unmask Palm Oil'. He has been named a semi-finalist for Young New Zealander of the Year and the Regeneration Trust Young Change maker of the Year. Before joining the program, Ben spent a year as a consultant in the Climate Change team at EY. Through the Schwarzman Scholars program, Ben hopes to build his understanding of China and promote New Zealand - China relations. Ben is 22 years old and from Auckland, New Zealand.
