Spotlight on a Scholar: Alina Luk on Understanding Technology and Innovation in China

With the year now underway, we are excited to share insights from the Scholars in their own words.

Alina Luk studied science, technology and society at Stanford University, and is currently working on her third startup. She innovated in the medical tech space by digitizing biometric health records for indigenous people in Thailand by cofounding QRist. Inspired by her Chinese grandparents, she is currently building a wearable for the elderly, anticipating the needs of the aging population. Alina believes in designing technologies that enable senior citizens to live with dignity and more independence. Alina hopes to make an impact on technology, design and innovation for China, the United States and the world. Alina is 21 years old and from Hong Kong and the United States of America.
