Non-Degree Course: Research Methods

This course aims to introduce key concepts and procedures of social science research to students. The key concepts include causal inference, conceptualization, operationalization, hypothesis testing, endogeneity, etc. The procedures of social science research refer to the different steps of conducting both quantitative and qualitative researches. By the end of this course, students should be able to design a research project and write a research proposal in a “methodologically conscious” manner. The knowledge and skills gained in this course could then help students to conduct their Capstone projects.
