Setting a new course

Schwarzman Scholars’ $600 million campaign for support represents an historic effort for Chinese philanthropy and for higher education in China. As the single largest initiative undertaken to date, funded by a global group of donors, it demonstrates the importance of charitable giving to the burgeoning philanthropic sector in China.

Schwarzman Scholars is grateful to our supporters whose early and generous support enabled our launch from a position of strength. They are long-term investors, recognizing that the Schwarzman Scholars mission is both compelling and critical: as China’s role on the world stage continues to grow, we must ensure that our future leaders have a deep and nuanced understanding of the country’s history, culture and aspirations.

Every contribution is helping provide outstanding young individuals with an opportunity to join this unique leadership program. Their intensive academic study, leadership development, and cultural exposure that extends from the classroom to around China prepares Schwarzman Scholars to lead and to make the change they want to see.

Our supporters ensure that Schwarzman Scholars continues to build and grow a global network of leaders who stay connected to the program, to China and to each other.
